The American Pin Up

I chose the American Pin-Up as the subject of my stamp project. Popular with G.I.s in the 1940's and 1950's, this style has seen a resurgence lately, especially in fashion and celebrity photo shoots, as well as tattoo styles. These four images are so subdued by today's standards that they seem comparatively sweet and innocent. They are also sufficiently nostalgic making them ripe for mass consumption. I found tons of great images online, but I thought these four images worked best together in both color and composition. This was another very enjoyable project.
