Designer Wk 2

I found Margaret Calvert on Wikipedia's list. She, along with another designer, designed the font used on railroad signs. It is called Rail Alphabet. I have always wondered why that writing on those signs was so distinct. I am avid font enthusiast. A friend and I used to collect craft books with different fonts and practice them. I used a lot of them in designing cards and posters for events by hand. I love finding and using new fonts so to find the story behind this font and who created them, I was intrigued. Here is an image of the font:

  1. Great find... I love the fact that you collected fonts and hand lettered them... that's great training.
